Draft — company details pending

Highlighted items will be completed with Tech Tronix LLC’s confirmed details. This policy is pending review by counsel.

1. Who we are

Tronix Energy is operated by Tech Tronix LLC (State of organization — to be provided) (“Tronix Energy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Tronix Energy is an energy brokerage and authorized distribution organization. We help residential and commercial customers compare electricity and natural gas supply options from independent retail energy suppliers, and we operate a network of partner companies and independent agents who market those options.

We are not a utility, and we are not a retail energy supplier. Your local utility continues to deliver your energy, and the supplier you choose sells you the energy commodity under its own terms and privacy notice.

2. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process through our website (tronixenergy.com), our availability and comparison tools, secure customer application links, our partner and agent portal, and our communications with you (together, the “Services”).

It does not cover how energy suppliers, utilities, or other third parties handle your information. When you enroll with a supplier, that supplier’s privacy notice governs its own use of your information. Partner companies may also have their own notices for information they collect independently.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and mailing or billing address.
  • Service details — service address, ZIP code, customer type (home or business), energy type, current provider, estimated or historical energy usage, and copies of utility bills you choose to share.
  • Utility account identifiers — utility account number and meter number, which suppliers require to process an enrollment.
  • Business details — for commercial customers and partners: business name, title, number of locations, and, for partner applicants, business type, the last four digits of an EIN, markets served and sales experience.
  • Authorizations and consents — your confirmation of an enrollment, consent to be contacted, typed-name acknowledgements, and electronic signature records.
  • Communications — messages, call notes, and support requests you send us.
  • Partner and agent information — account credentials, role, team, training and certification records, and information needed to calculate and pay commissions.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the date and time of visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Security and audit logs — records of sign-ins and of actions taken in the partner portal, kept to protect accounts and to meet compliance obligations.

Information from other sources:

  • Authorized partners and agents who submit information on your behalf at your request.
  • Energy suppliers — for example, whether an enrollment was accepted, rejected, started, or cancelled.
  • Marketing and lead sources, where you have consented to be contacted by companies like us.
  • Publicly available business information, for commercial customers and partner applicants.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers through our website. If a supplier requires a credit check for a particular plan, the supplier collects that information under its own policy.

4. How we use information

  • To check availability at your address and show eligible plans from suppliers we are authorized to offer.
  • To prepare, confirm, and submit enrollment applications to the supplier you choose, and to track their status.
  • To verify eligibility, detect duplicate or fraudulent enrollments, and protect customers from unauthorized supplier switches.
  • To contact you about your request or application and, where you have consented, about energy options.
  • To recruit, onboard, train, authorize, and support partners and agents, and to calculate, reconcile, and pay commissions.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including state disclosure, consent, and record-keeping requirements, and to respond to lawful requests.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the Services.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • With the energy supplier you select, to process and service your enrollment. The supplier may share information with your utility to complete the switch.
  • With the authorized partner company or agent assisting you, limited to the customers and applications they are permitted to access.
  • With service providers that host, secure, and operate the Services or deliver email, text messages, electronic signatures, or payments for us. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • With regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not allow partners or suppliers to use information collected through Tronix Energy for unrelated marketing without your consent.

6. Calls, texts, and email

We contact you by phone, text message, or email only as permitted by law and, where required, with your prior express consent. You can withdraw consent at any time. See our Communications & TCPA Consent policy for details, including how to opt out.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies that are necessary to operate the Services, such as keeping you signed in to the partner portal. Where we use optional cookies, we explain them and give you choices in our Cookie Policy. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Enrollment, consent, and authorization records are kept for the periods required by applicable state rules and supplier agreements so that we can demonstrate that customer authorizations were valid. Commission and payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, organization-level data isolation so that partners can access only their own customers’ information, restricted access to utility account numbers, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it.
  • Access and receive a copy of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep to show that an enrollment was authorized).
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell or share personal information or engage in targeted advertising.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive information only as permitted for providing the Services.
  • Appeal our decision on your request.

To make a request, email privacy@tronixenergy.com or write to us at the address below. We will verify your request by matching information you provide with information we hold. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and confirm your identity directly. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
